Overview
The following are Example Reports that were created using the Genesis Report Writer.
You may Download any of the reports listed, Install them onto your Genesis, and Change/Edit as necessary.
PLEASE NOTE: These reports were created by customers or Genesis support, and may not do exactly what your district needs, so please read the descriptions carefully. It is also important that you run tests to ensure it's producing the information and results needed. Some editing may be required for the report to work as you need it to, and you can make these changes using the Report Writer. If you are unfamiliar with writing reports in Genesis, it is strongly recommended you watch a Report Writer training video.

| Gradebook Year Summary Report - Download Report This report is a Report Writer version of the Year Summary Report. It includes Gradebook and posted Grading module (i.e. Report Card) grades for MP1, MP2, MP3, MP4, MidTerm (ME), Final (FE) Exams and Final Grades. Created by: Genesis Last updated: May 2023 |  |
| Gradebook Score Excel Report - Teacher Version -Download Report Administrator version - Download Report This report pulls all grades from a specific Assignment from all Gradebooks linked to a selected Teacher. Select the teacher, specify the EXACT name of the Assignment and the report finds all grades for that Assignment, regardless of course section. This allows you to pull data across all of a single teacher's Gradebook. The 'teacher version' allows teachers to use to pull their own Assignment Grades. The 'Administrator Version' allows the user to pull any single teacher's grades. It can be converted to allow an administrator to pull any single teacher's grades. The Assignment name has to be entered exactly as it appears in the Gradebook and for the report to work the Assignment must be spelled precisely the same way in all of the teacher's Gradebooks. | Projected Failure Report - Download Report This report selects students whose Projected Final Grade in an included Gradebook is below a numeric cutoff (e.g. 65). This is based on their up to the minute Projected Final grade value. Parameters include teacher, counselor, course, section, minimum passing grade (or minimum grade for the use of the report), and student ids. | Gradebook - Report Card Grades Discrepancy Report - Download Report A variation on the above 'Gradebook MP Averages compared to Posted Report Card Grades' report, this report lists only students whose posted grade differs from their Gradebook average - in other words, where the teacher has done something other than simply accepting the rounded MP Average as the MP Report Card grade. | Gradebook Failing Students Report - Download Report This version of the student gradebook averages report allows you to specify a cutoff MP average, select a department or exclude a department, exclude classes and sort by dept, teacher, student. | Parent Module Accounts by Gradebook Student Roster - Download Report This report lists all students on a course (Gradebook) roster with their Parent Module accounts. | Student Gradebook Averages Report - Download Report This report must be run in the student's current school. It takes two parameters: the prior school the student attended earlier in the school year and the student's id (or students' ids if there are multiple students who have transferred from the same school). It lists all of the student's classes in the prior school along with Marking Period averages earned in the Gradebooks for those classes. It does not deal with posted report card grades. | Student Gradebook Assignments Report - Download Report This report must also be run in the student's current school. It takes four parameters: the prior school the student attended earlier in the school year and the student's id (or students' ids if there are multiple students who have transferred from the same school), a cut off date (the date the student(s) transferred) and the Marking Period in which the student transferred. | Gradebook Assignment Status Report - Download Report This is an administrative report that gives you: Total # of Assignments created for each selected Gradebook, Number of Assignments newly created between start and end dates; Number of Assignments updated between the start and end dates. | Gradebook Usage Report - Download Report This a variation on the theme of the above Gradebook Assignment Report. It locates course sections with gradebooks that have not yet been initialized (i.e. sections with no gradebook), gradebooks with zero assignments, gradebooks with high or low usage, based on "Assignments since" date and Assignment usage count. | Gradebook Categories Report - Download Report This report lists Categories defined for each Gradebook with their MP percentages. | Gradebook Student Notes Report - Download Report This report will list notes created for students by teachers, using the Notes feature within their Gradebook. Teachers can click on student names in their Gradebook spreadsheets, and then go to a tab for "Notes" where they can make personal notes to students.
