Alert Now Export

Overview

Creates 3 export files for Alert Now. Students, Faculty and Daily Attendance.

Export Options

This file can be exported to a:

FTP (Passive or Active) (Not recommended)
File name on the server

Selection of students

By default, all ACTIVE students in schools selected on the configuration screen.

File format

The file format is a CSV delimited file.

The first row of the file contains headers.

This export will automatically export data from Contacts or Contacts2 depending on which system your district is using.

See notes below for limitations on using this export the original Contacts system.

Attendance.att

A row is created for each student that today has an attendance code posted to their daily attendance with the Use In Auto Dialer flag set.

If the Create a separate attendance file for each school option is used, then an attendance.csv is created for each selected school and the filename(s) are: schoolCode-attendance.att

A row is created for all staff members in the district.

This export supports the original contacts system.

Optional Run Settings:

Exclude inactive staff.
Include Special Ed and Free/Reduced Lunch columns
Create a separate attendance file for each school (using school code).
Use alternate school code for filename
Include a Column for Student ID in Attendance File.
Include a Column for Home Language in Attendance File.
Include First and Last Name Columns in students file.
Include Mobile1-5 columns for student contacts.
Include mobile number in staff file.
Exclude full name column from student file.
Do NOT require Broadcast flag to be checked on Guardian numbers or emails.
