How to Update Just the Grade Translations for All Teacher Profiles

Modified on Thu, Apr 13, 2023 at 2:36 PM

If school has already started, and you notice that teachers have different grading translations that DO NOT match your school profile, you can push out JUST the Alpha Grade translations to ALL teacher profiles via Gradebook>School Setup>Maintenance>Profile Maintenance.

Please review the Grade Translations of your default school profile first before pushing out - so you push out accurate information.

Steps:

  1. Select the correct school at the top of the screen.  This will need to be done for each school, if you have more than one school.
  2. Go to Gradebook>School Setup>School Profiles.
  3. Review and/or update your SCHOOL DEFAULT PROFILE before pushing anything out.
    1. Click the P icon in the OPEN column to modify the profile.
    2. Click on the Grade Translations sub tab.
    3. Review the ALPHA GRADES listed.
    4. If all looks good, skip to Step 4.
    5. If you need to make changes, do so and click "Save Grade Translations.
  4. After you've reviewed your school default profile's grade translations, go to Gradebook>School Setup>Maintenance>Profile Maintenance and scroll to the "Push Parts of the School Profile to all teacher profiles in" tool.
  5. Check off ALPHA GRADES (and/or Other, if applicable) and click "Run."

Additional Features for this Tool

You now have different profiles to choose from in the "Push Parts of the..." tool.

For example, if you have a CUSTOM PROFILE in the system, which has the Grade Translations you'd like to push out to ALL teachers, you may select that instead.

You can also push out: Other Grade Translations, All Preferences, and Assignment MP's info.
