Getting Started with the Elementary Homeroom Sync Tool

New: We added a new, additional option on the Elem HR Sync screen called "Use grade levels from the school's curriculum and student's grade when analyzing." If this is checked, the grade levels that are checked on the curriculum will be used and not the grade span.

These are the current options:


The Homeroom Sync feature is a new tool in the Scheduling Module that can be used to schedule students for the new school year.

The feature will mass add students to course sections based on the homerooms assigned to students and the homerooms assigned to course sections.

The Homeroom Sync feature can be used prior to Summer Maintenance to schedule students for the upcoming school year using the Next Years Scheduling Module or can be used after Summer Maintenance is performed to schedule students for the current school year using the Scheduling Module.

The Homeroom Sync feature requires that a Curriculum File and a Master Class Schedule exist for the school year in which you are creating schedules, and requires that course sections and students are assigned to homerooms.  

If you have a Curriculum File and a Master Class Schedule in place for the current school year, you can copy the data to Next Year Scheduling to begin the scheduling process for the upcoming school year.
