How to Import Standards

Article is found here.

You may now import Excel files based on the export file specs using the "Import Standards from Spreadsheet" feature on Standards>Setup>Standards. A 'Create Blank Template File' is included to start o new file. If importing using a new Set Code (one that does not currently appear in your Standards list), a new Standard set will be created. If importing using an existing Set Code, that existing Standard Set will be updated/appended to only. An option to overwrite/replace what is currently there is also available.

It is recommended that you download and examine an exiting Standard Set export file before attempting to upload a file on your own.

(Legacy Import option) We have an "Import Standard from Another Genesis System" button. If you have received a standards file from the User Group or another Genesis district that is not a spreadsheet, you can import that file at any time into your system.  The file will need to be a .genesisstandards file for it to import.

Q: How do we enter standards manually?

A: You can enter your own standards via Standards>Setup>Standards using the "Add Standard" button.

Q: How do we export a set of standards so it can be imported into a different Genesis system?

A: Go to Standards>Setup>Standards and click to modify the standard. After you do so, you'll see an "export" button. Click that to save the .genesisstandards file to your computer.
