Solution 1:
Using Command Prompt - In this example the SchoolFi directory is located on the E: drive. Replace the drive letter appropriately to meet your servers architecture.
Procedure:
- Open Command Prompt as Administrator (right click the CMD icon and "Run As Administrator")
- Change to the root of the drive where the SchoolFi directory is located
- Change Directory to the SchoolFi Upgrade Script location
- Remove the current SchoolFi version.txt file
- Execute the upgrade.bat script
- Once complete, check that your SchoolFi website is back up. It may take up to 5 minutes for the site to refresh.
Example:
C:\Users\Administrator>E:
E:\>cd schoolfi\upgrade
E:\genesis\upgrade>rm version.txt
E:\genesis\upgrade>upgrade
Solution 2:
Using Task Scheduler
Procedure:
- Open E:\schoolfi\upgrade folder and delete the version.txt file.
- Open Task Scheduler, look for "SchoolFi Upgrade."
- Right Click on "SchoolFi Upgrade" and click run
- Once completed, check that your SchoolFi Website is back up. It may take up to 5 minutes for the site to refresh.
