Overview
The following are Example Reports that were created using the Genesis Report Writer.
You may Download any of the reports listed, Install them onto your Genesis, and Change/Edit as necessary.
PLEASE NOTE: These reports were created by customers or Genesis support, and may not do exactly what your district needs, so please read the descriptions carefully. It is also important that you run tests to ensure it's producing the information and results needed. Some editing may be required for the report to work as you need it to, and you can make these changes using the Report Writer. If you are unfamiliar with writing reports in Genesis, it is strongly recommended you watch a Report Writer training video.

| Course Catalog Summary Report - Download Report This report lists the Curriculum Course (Course Catalog) table including - optionally - both active and inactive courses. | Portal Course Request Tallies Report - Download Report This report is for schools that would like to see a tally for each course, of how many parents or students have requested it via the portal. For each course, you will see a tally for number of portal requests, as well as number of total student requests, and teacher recommendations. Created by: Greg Last updated: Feb 2022 |  |
| Parent Requests for Next Year Report - Download Report Lists all Course Requests created from Parent Portal by School, and whether or not they have been Converted to Student Course Requests. | Teacher Recommendations Report - Download Report Lists all Next Year Course Recommendations in the school. There are many sort options. This report will indicate whether the recommended course has been 'converted' into an actual student course request. | Student Course Request Letter - Download Report This report will generate one letter per student, with a letter and student's list of requested courses for specified school year. | Students with 2 or More Courses with the Same Graduation/Subject Area Report -Download Report Lists all active students in the user's current school. Lists all subject areas, and a total number of courses the student is actively enrolled in for the current year. Only reports based on the course's PRIMARY Subject Area. | Dual Enrollment Report - Download Report This report generates a list of all active students enrolled in a 'Dual Enrollment or College Credit' course, based on courses with 'C' for "Instruction Type" - Also lists OPEID and SCED code information about the course. | Student Request Checker - Download Report Lists all courses the student has requested for next year, and which have course prerequisites that are not being met, and which courses were already taken and passed in a previous school year.
