Overview
The following are Example Reports that were created using the Genesis Report Writer.
You may Download any of the reports listed, Install them onto your Genesis, and Change/Edit as necessary.
PLEASE NOTE: These reports were created by customers or Genesis support, and may not do exactly what your district needs, so please read the descriptions carefully. It is also important that you run tests to ensure it's producing the information and results needed. Some editing may be required for the report to work as you need it to, and you can make these changes using the Report Writer. If you are unfamiliar with writing reports in Genesis, it is strongly recommended you watch a Report Writer training video.

| Base Report - Download Report This student data report is meant to be a foundation every time you start a new report. This can be imported or copied, and you can then add more elements into it. | Student Bus Data Report - Download Report This report is used to create separate rosters of students on each bus, for the purpose of distributing to bus drivers. It has a page break per each bus route, and also includes bus number, bus stop, and time. The student's photo, guardian 1 & 2, address information, and medical conditions are also included. | Cafeteria Notes Report - Download Report The Cafeteria Notes report will list students who have information in the "Cafeteria Notes" field of their Medical Health Record screen. This information is for dissemination to Cafeteria staff - and others - regarding students who should not consume certain foods. Some 3rd party Cafeteria systems can accept this information directly via their interface with Genesis. This report is designed to print out the same information if your Cafeteria application cannot accept "Cafeteria Notes" directly from Genesis. | Student Email Report by HR, Course Section, or Teacher - Download Report This report lists student's own primary email and allows students to be selected by their Homeroom, or by a course section or by a teacher. it is designed to extract student emails for use with Google or similar products. | Siblings in the District Report - Download Report Siblings in the District - Report will list all active students in any in-district school, and their active enrolled siblings (with sibling's school). Created by: Greg Last updated: July 2020 |  |
| Student Enrollment Counts by School - Download Report District Enrollment by School - This report computes total enrollment by school and grade using ONLY whether or not the student is marked "ACTIVE" on the *day the report is run*. Because this report needs to run when there are neither Daily Attendance records nor Registration dates accurate for "today", this is the only method of determining whether or not a student is currently "registered". | Student Profile Form with Photo - Download Report This is an "internal use only" Student Profile form - One sheet is printed for each student with a student's contact information summary, a photo, student contact information (student's own email and cell #), medical information summary (public information only) and other bits of information. There is an option to include coded custody restrictions. This form contains all contact information, regardless of custody restrictions and SHOULD NOT be sent home if there are custody concerns. It is intended for 'internal use only'. Custody restrictions are coded as follows (when displayed): C means "cannot see person", S means "cannot speak to person" and G means "Cannot leave with (go with) person". | Student Post High School Plans Reports Student's Post High School Plans Report - Download Report This report lists students with their "Post HS Plans" data. This report does not list specific college information. It relies on the information in the "PostHSPlans" table. Post High School Plans with Colleges - Download Report This is a completely different take on student's post high school planning. It contains a separate section for each student listing the colleges they have applied to, their application status and other data - if you have entered this data into Genesis. All of their other post high school information (all the information listed in the above report) appears in students' section headers. | List of Seniors Taking Multiple World Language Courses - Download Report This report produces a section for every senior taking multiple world language courses, listing those courses. | Daily Student Roster Export - Download Report This report exports student rosters for courses active today. It produces a correct roster for all courses for all schools or one school for "today". | Extracurricular Activities Roster - Download Report Creates rosters of students in clubs/activities based on current year data on the student "Awards" tab. Contains photo, today's attendance, and emergency contact information. | Student Next Year Assignment Detail Export -Download Report This report exports an Excel file with a line for each student based on their next year school and grade assignment. | Student Category Totals by Grade Level - Download Report This report was put in place to assist districts with completing the new "Road Forward: Spring Data Assessment Collection" report. This report may be run by school or student list. The report does a page break per grade level, listing the following totals by grade: Race, Free/Reduced Lunch, English Learners, Special Ed, Migrant, Military Connected, and Homeless. | Student Emergency Information Sheet - Download Report This report prints a strip of information, including photographs and medical "need-to-know" information, for each student. The medical information is extracted from the Nurse's public "need to know" field for each student (the same text that appears as a tool tip for the icons in the student's Student Information Bar). | Student Programs and Schedule Information - Download Report This report will provide the students basic demographics information, scheduled courses, and programs such as basic skills. | NJ A41 Transfer Card - Download Report Download PDF Template Have Genesis fill an A41 form for a single student. Form must be generated for a student ID. NOTE1: Prior to running this report, student should be withdrawn with "Record students Next School?" populated. This shows in the "Transferred to CDS" field on their Tracking tab. NOTE2: Information about student's new school can be populated on the Setup > State Schools screen. Student's former school information can be configured under Setup > Schools.
