Overview
The following are Example Reports that were created using the Genesis Report Writer.
You may Download any of the reports listed, Install them onto your Genesis, and Change/Edit as necessary.
PLEASE NOTE: These reports were created by customers or Genesis support, and may not do exactly what your district needs, so please read the descriptions carefully. It is also important that you run tests to ensure it's producing the information and results needed. Some editing may be required for the report to work as you need it to, and you can make these changes using the Report Writer. If you are unfamiliar with writing reports in Genesis, it is strongly recommended you watch a Report Writer training video.

Guidance Visits with Reasons Report - Download Report The attached report lists all visits to the "Guidance" Event with student names and reason codes (if you have set up the Guidance Event to select reasons for the visit to Guidance). You MUST localize this report for your district. The "Guidance Event Code" used as a filter (010) will almost certainly be different for your district. Locate the code for your local Guidance Event on the Setup->Schools->School Parameters->Events screen and substitute the code you find for the "010" code on the Filters screen of the report Created by: Genesis Last updated: May 2023 | |
Turnstile Reservations Report - Download Report The Turnstile Reservations Report takes a student list and an Event as parameters, as well as a date (which defaults to 'today'), and provides a check-in/check-out report either for all the students on the list, only the students who checked in to the selected Event on the selected date, or only the students who did not check in to the Event on the selected day. Student ID Card Generator - Download Report This report generates one page per student (landscape layout) in a photo ID format (contains photo, barcode, school information, etc.). Will print all active students in the current selected school, or based on one of your student lists. This will export one 8.5" x 11" page per student. It is designed to be printed from an ID card printer, which should have the ability to scale the full-page PDF document (landscape) to the appropriate size used by the ID printer. Sample information shown to the right. The report can be customized to include additional student information. In this example, a pdf template with a thick red border was used, which you can use by downloading here. |
