Graduation Pathway Data Report

This report 9160 produces a summary of data from the Student Graduation tab,  It counts (by race, disability, disadvantaged, and ELL) students who have met requirements for graduation via either Student Graduation Assessments or having the field for "Receiving diploma due to:" populated on Graduation tab.

Data Collection

This report uses data from the Genesis Assessment Module.  It will only return these results if you have both

  1.  Created assessment definitions for NJSLA/PARCC, SAT, etc., and loaded your score data into these definitions.
  2. Setup and mapped your Assessment Graduation Requirements in Assessments > Graduation.  These must be configured by your district. See Graduation Requirement Mapping for more info.

If you are not managing Assessments in Genesis the report will still use the field " (Override) Meets Math Requirements" and " (Override) Meets ELA Requirements" on student Graduation tab to populate the report.

The  " (Override) Meets Requirements" fields will override the Assessment scores a student has. 

 

The report will place a student into one of the following categories.  Students will be placed into the following categories:

Meets Math and ELA Requirements

Meets Neither Requirement (not denied)

Denied Graduation

Meets ELA First Pathway (NJSLA/PARCC)

Meets Math First Pathway (NJSLA/PARCC)

Meets ELA Second Pathway (Alternative Assessments)

Meets Math Second Pathway (Alternative Assessments)

Meets ELA Third Pathway (Portfolio Appeal)

Meets Math Third Pathway (Portfolio Appeal)

Alternate ELA requirements specified in IEP

Alternate Math requirements specified in IEP

No current ELA Pathway

No current Math Pathway

 

Student will be placed into these categories based on certain rules in the NJ ELA and Math Assessment Requirements.

Certain aspects of the rules are not accessible through Genesis so certain assumptions are made.


This is how Genesis will place students into their respective categories:

 

Pathway

Class Of 2018 and 19

Meets ELA First Pathway (NJSLA/PARCC)

Meets required score for:

NJSLA ELA Grade 9 or

NJSLA ELA Grade 10 or

NJSLA ELA Grade 11.

OR

 "(Override) Meets ELA Requirements" field on student Graduation tab is marked with NJSLA Grade 9, 10 or 11

Meets Math First Pathway (NJSLA/PARCC)

Meets required score for:

ALG01 or

GEO01 or

ALG02

OR

 "(Override) Meets ELA Requirements" field on student Graduation tab is marked with NJSLA Grade 9, 10 or 11

Meets ELA Second Pathway (Alternative Assessments)

Meets required ELA score for any non-NJSLA Graduation Requirement  setup in  the Assessments > Graduation tab.  SAT, PSAT, etc.

OR

"(Override) Meets ELA Requirements" field on student Graduation tab is marked with any code OTHER THAN NJSLA Grade 9, 10 or 1

Meets Math Second Pathway (Alternative Assessments)

Meets required Math score for any non-NJSLA Graduation Requirement  setup in  the Assessments > Graduation tab.  SAT, PSAT, etc.

OR

"(Override) Meets ELA Requirements" field on student Graduation tab is marked with any code OTHER THAN NJSLA Grade 9, 10 or 11

Meets ELA Third Pathway (Portfolio Appeal)

"Portfolio Appeal for ELA" checkbox on student's Graduation tab must be checked.

Meets Math Third Pathway (Portfolio Appeal)

"Portfolio Appeal for Math" checkbox on student's Graduation tab must be checked.

Alternate ELA requirements specified in IEP

"Meets Alternate ELA Requirement Specified in IEP" checkbox on student's Graduation tab must be checked.

Alternate Math requirements specified in IEP

"Meets Alternate Math  Requirement Specified in IEP" checkbox on student's Graduation tab must be checked.

No Current Pathway

None of the above requirements met.
