Overview

The following are Example Reports that were created using the Genesis Report Writer.

You may Download any of the reports listed, Install them onto your Genesis, and Change/Edit as necessary.

PLEASE NOTE:    These reports were created by customers or Genesis support, and may not do exactly what your district needs, so please read the descriptions carefully. It is also important that you run tests to ensure it's producing the information and results needed. Some editing may be required for the report to work as you need it to, and you can make these changes using the Report Writer. If you are unfamiliar with writing reports in Genesis, it is strongly recommended you watch a Report Writer training video.

Nurse Visit Totals Summary Report Form - Download Report Provide a summary, by reason code, of all student and staff visits between a start and end date (e.g. first day of school to 'today'). This is useful for doing things like providing monthly visit statistics. This report outputs a 1 page form. As such, the number of reasons it can report on is limited to a maximum of about 45 at the current font size. to include a larger list of reasons it will be necessary to edit the report to shrink the font size of the list of reason codes and their totals - and then readjust where information is printed on the form. Student Nurse Screening Reports Student Nurse Screening Report 1 - Download Report Student Nurse Screening Report 2 - Download Report This report shows students who have / have not had various health screenings during the current school year. The report includes various parameters for specific screenings. Version 1 leaves each screening on a separate line. Version 2 condenses all of a student's screenings within the school year onto a single line of the report. If you leave one of the parameters concerning a specific screening (e.g. Vision) set to "All Students", it is ignored. If you set one of them to "students who need" the screening, the report looks for students who have not had that one screening this year. If you set one of them to "students who don't need" the screening, the report looks for students who have already had that one this year. There is additionally a "Select Students who" parameter that asks if the students should have "All" or "Any" of the selected screenings. If "All" is selected the report will print only students who meet ALL of the screening settings you chose. If "Any" is selected the report will print students who meet ANY ONE of the screening settings you chose. This gives the nurse the flexibility to asks lots of different questions regarding who has and has not had various screenings. Physical Exam Status Report - Download Report This report allows you to locate students who: Have expired physical exams Have physical exams that will expire within a selected number of days (e.g. 90) Do not have a physical exam at all Created by: Genesis Last updated: Nov 2020
Expiring and Expired Medications Reports Expiring & Expired Medications Report 1 - Download Report This report uses the new "Expiration Date" field in Medication (i.e.prescription) records to determine when a medication will expire. That is, when the expiration has passed for the drug itself, not when the prescription ends. The report will find medications without Expiration Dates (almost all of them, initially), as well as identify medications which will expire in 30, 60 and 90 days. Expiring & Expired Medications Report 2 - Download Report Another report using the "Expiration Date" field in Medication (i.e.prescription) records to determine when a medication will expire. That is, when the expiration has passed for the drug itself, not when the prescription ends. This report takes the number of days you wish to use to determine how soon a medication will expire, and finds all medications expiring in <= number of days (e.g. 30 days). You can select a specific medication, or run it against a student list. Results specify how many days until expiration. Covid Vaccine Status Report - Download Report This is a report that lists all students and their vaccination status for the covid vaccine. Students with Active Athletic Status Records - Download Report Lists all students who have an active Athletic Status Record - that is, one with a start date earlier or equal to 'today' and either a blank end date or any end date on or later than 'today'. Created by: Genesis Last updated: May 2023
Students on Home Instruction - Download Report This report is the "Attendance Home Instruction" report. It lists all students on Home Instruction on the selected date. That is, it finds all students who have a NJ State Daily Attendance code of '7' for the selected date. While technically a daily Attendance report, it was written specifically for nurses so is here listed as a "Nurse" report. Created by: Genesis Last updated: May 2023
BMI Summary w. Ethnicity - Download Report This will list all current active students in the district with ethnicity and DOB but w/o any other personal information. The report will list columns representing the screening done at each grade level, along with height, weight, and BMI information.
