Advanced Skills Grading

The Genesis Advanced Skills Grading allows you to grade individual skills for your students.  The skills will tie directly to the skills on your report cards to make the grading process as easy as possible for your teachers.  The Gradebook is where teachers can assign skills to their assignments and grade them.  They can view a students progress for each skill and track overall scores for each marking period.  The students skills are also shown in the Parents Module so that parents can see how the students are progressing with each skill through out the year.

Helpful Tip:  Posting Skill grades to the report card can be a tedious process for your teachers. Using the Gradebook - Post Grades - Post Grades By Student screen helps make the process cleaner and much more efficient. This screen allows a teacher to post all the skill grades for a student on one screen. Teachers can also use a Update All Grades link to populate all of their skill grades in all of their gradebooks in one click. The skill grades are on this screen are populated by the overall skill grade for the marking period, making the process easier and more time efficient.

Note: This feature is only available for Elementary Schools that have reports installed in the GRADING module. The Advanced Skill Grading is not available if your school is using the Elementary Grading module.
