In order for a teacher to post a final grade for a subject in elementary grading, the final grade must be set-up as a skill for that specific subject. Therefore, every subject for which a final grade is posted must have a specific skill of "final grade" established for it. The skill of final grade for the subject would only be graded in the fourth marking period.
Here are the rules regarding final grades in elementary grading:
Final grades can only be posted for subjects.
Final grades cannot be posted for skills.
Final grades are not set-up as a subject.
Final grades are set-up as a skill under each subject.
The macro for the final grade for a subject is set-up like any other skill for that subject however, the macro would only exist for the fourth marking period.
