HR Params

The Setup>Schools>Modify School (Click into a school)>HR Params tab allows you to set how this specific school will mass assign homeroom assignments.

This screen does not assign the homeroom assignments. This can be set different per school, as needed.

You have 3 options in the HR Assignment Type dropdown:

• Specific Period Assignment
• Alpha By Grade Assignment
• Student List to Room Assignment

Take a look if you need help with assigning homerooms.

In the HR Period dropdown, you will specify which print period is designated as the Homeroom period for the school. You can set 2 additional/optional HR periods, if needed.

The "HR End Time" option is used with the "Homeroom Attendance Reminder" Genmessaging event: If your school does not have a period flagged as a homeroom period, the time in this field will be used by GenMessaging to notify teachers when HR Attendance has not been posted.

PLEASE NOTE

Prior to assigning HRs by period, please check to make sure you have set up your grade collections for the school. You can set them en masse via Grading -> Setup -> Setup Guide, -OR- you can go to Scheduling>Sections, search for all sections using the "GRADING" view, and you can check off your collections there.
