Student ID Generation

The Setup>Districts>Master District Params>Student IDs screen is where you can enable/disable Student ID Generation.

Enabling this feature will allow the system to automatically generate student ids on the registration student screens.

The student ID Counter Pattern is generated by replacing the following letters with the real values at the time a student ID is generated.

Available Codes (These are case sensitive):

G - Year of Graduation (4 Digits)
g - Year of Graduation (Last 2 Digits)
D - District Code
S - School Code
N - State School Code (3 digit state code)
L - Last Digit of School Code
F - First Digit of School Code
Q - School Sequence (Three digit minimum. Will prefix with 0)
dX - District Counter (where X is number of digits; padded with 0s; up to 14)
sX - School Counter (where X is number of digits; padded with 0s; up to 9)
rX - Random Number (where X is number of digits; padded with 0s; up to 9)
 Y - Year as of end of school. (ex. 2012 in 2011-12 school year)

Example: Dd4 = 41300023
