Gender

There are three gender-related fields for each student located on the student's Demographics->Required screen:

- Gender - This field is required.  The gender field is linked to the Gender Preference Codes 'codes table' located on the Setup>Codes screen.  This table is editable.  See below.

- Birth Gender - The "Birth Gender" field is hard-coded to "Male" and "Female" and this list cannot be edited.

- Pronoun - "Pronoun" field is linked to the Pronouns codes table located on the Setup>Codes screen.  See below.

Gender Preference Codes codes table

The Gender Preference Codes codes table is used to specify the student's current gender identity.  

It populates the required "Gender" field. Access to the table is located on the Setup>Codes screen:

This table can be edited locally to add gender options.

Pronouns codes table

The Pronouns codes table can be used to specify the set of pronouns the student prefers to use.   It is not a required field.

The table is located on the Setup>Codes screen.   Each row of the table specifies a set of pronouns separated by the '/' character:

You may edit this table to add additional pronoun set options.
