Overview

The Nurses > Service Summary tab was added in response to the Service Plan Summary districts are required to maintain. This screen summarizes a variety of services and medical data that nurses track throughout the school year, such as: Nurse Visits, Medications, Medical Conditions, Screenings, and more.

To view this report, you must gather the data for the summary screen.  Start by navigating to this screen and pushing Update Service Summary Data to collect the information:

After this tool is run, the screen may take a couple of minutes to fully load and display all of the results. The results are shown under multiple tables that display various totals. These totals are explained in the next sections of this article...

Student Population

Displays student totals by reporting category, Medical Severity Level (1-4) as set on the student's Medical Summary tab, and includes totals for IHP, Daily Medications, and As-needed Medications. 

Medical Conditions

Displays totals by school, of how many students are set with each condition during the current school year.

End of Year Student Data

Displays EOY totals by school, for Daily Attendance, including Chronic Absenteeism, Chronic Lateness, and which students have Medical Conditions.

End of Year Medical Data

Displays EOY totals for Medical Screenings by school, as well as Physical Exams that were reviewed.

Vision, Hearing, and Scoliosis: Total number of screenings with any value in the Scoliosis field.

Refer Fields:  Indicates the total number of screenings with R in the Vision, Hearing, or Scoliosis fields respectively.

Physicals Reviewed:  Totals all physical exams in this school for the current year. If no specific Accepted Physical Exam Type is selected for sports eligibility on the Athletics > Setup > Eligibility Setup screen (set per school), then ALL physical exam types are included in this count. Note: These totals may not match the exact number of exams showing in the Athletics > Student Search tab.

End of Year Visits Data

Displays EOY totals for Nurse's Visits by school, broken down by visit category and disposition. Also includes totals for Athletic Status Records.
