Assessment Module Tour

 A quick overview of the Assessments Module.

Setup

Setup is where two key functions take place:

  1. Creation of Assessment Templates
  2. Uploading of Assessment "Result Files" - Scores of the taken tests.

Assessment Templates

An "Assessment Template" is a description of a type of standardized test, such as "SAT".

Once a Template is defined it can be used many times as the "map" by which an Assessment Result File is interpreted.

For example, "SAT" can be defined as a Template and then a separate "Assessment Result File" can be uploaded, using the SAT Template, for each actual SAT Scores file the district acquires.

Data Views

Data Views == Longitudinal Spreadsheets

"Data Views" are longitudinal spreadsheets with scores pulled from any collection of underlying "Result Files".

For example, a "Reading Scores" Data View might have 'reading' scores pulled from various underlying Assessments.

Student Assessment Scores

A Student Assessment Score record contains the set of scores and other data from a single assessment taken by an individual student.

An unlimited number of records can be stored per student.

The following information is stored on each individual record.
