Download and Import Shared Standards into Genesis
This user's group is a mailing list only, Montville Township Public Schools has created standards to be imported into Genesis for use with Lesson Planner, Gradebook, and more. They are being shared with other districts, so you may retrieve copies of the latest standards at any time. See below instructions for more details on how to retrieve them.

NOTE: Use the 'Google Group' link above to access the forum to discuss standards with other New Jersey school districts. Use the 'Access and Download' link above to download copies of the standards from Montville's shared drive.
Steps for installing the above standards on Genesis
- Visit www.montville.net/genesisnjstandards to see the shared files available.
- Download the latest 'zip' file to your computer.
- Un-zip the compressed folder, so you can access the containing files.
- Review the files inside, and decide which file you would like to import into your Genesis site.
- Log into Genesis and visit the "Standards" module.
- Go to Standards > Setup > Standards and locate "Import Standards from Spreadsheet".
- Browse/Choose your standards file.
- If you have already uploaded a previous version of the 2020NJSLS standards, you may check off "Replace Mode" so that it is totally replaced by the new one you are importing.
- Click "Import" button to load the standards.
- Repeat these steps for each spreadsheet in the folder.
- After reviewing the imported standards, you must check off "Display" so it is available to teachers. Do this by clicking the 'modify' button on the standards 'set' that was imported. Then enable "Display Set?" and 'Save'.
