Spec Ed EOY Report FAQs

How are students determined to be eligible for Table 1 of the report?

Table 1 Part 1

Student counted as "Referred for Evaluation" are students who have a "Referred for Evaluation" date, on their Special Ed Evaluations tab, between 07/01- 06/30. Students must also NOT have a Special Ed Code of "Eligible for Speech Services Only" in their Special Ed Classification tracking record. Age is calculated as of October 15th.

Table 1 Part 2

Students must NOT have a Special Ed Code of "Eligible for Speech Services Only" in their Special Ed Classification tracking record. Age is calculated as of October 15th. Students may be counted in multiple header columns (Initial Classification, Reevaluation, Returned to General Ed, Home Instruction).


Students listed in "Initial Classification" column must have a "Classification Conference" (a.k.a. Eligibility Determination Date) date between 07/01 and 06/30 on the Evaluations tab.
Students listed in "Revaluation" column must have a "Reevaluation" date between 07/01 and 06/30 on the Evaluations tab.
Students listed in "Returned to General Education" must have an Exit Reason of "Returned to General Education" on any Special Ed Record in the reporting school year.
Students listed in "Home Instruction" must have a Federal Placement code of "Home Instruction" on any Special Ed Record in the reporting school year.
