Curving Exam Grades
Exams can be curved by using the curving tool available on the Gradebook->Gradebook->Exams->Exams screen:
To begin using this tool, click on the "Curve" column header. This brings up the Gradebook->Gradebook->Exams->Grade screen with the "Curve" column open to be scored:
This is actually the same as simply clicking in the "Exam Average" column on the Exams->Grade screen - Note that the Exam Average column is highlighted when the Curve tool is open.
Enter a curving value in the the "Curve" tool fields, scroll to the bottom and click "Save".
If you enter a value in the top box, the "All" button will propagate it to all students. Note that the 4 Special Grades (Absent, Incomplete, Missing, Exempt) are not available with the Curving tool's grade adjustment values:
The "curving" or Score Modifier tool is available for the Curving Tool's adjustment values:
The Score Modifier will be applied to the Curving Tool's adjustment values by the "Add", "Mult" and "Sub" buttons.
The Curve values are displayed on the Gradebook->Gradebook->Exams->Exams screen:
