You can add any teacher that is beginning in next year via Next Year Scheduling>Setup>Teachers>List Teachers.

There are also a few tools available via Next Year Scheduling>Setup>Teachers>Tools:

Assign Teacher's course from previous year's master class schedule:

  • Deletes existing list of courses a teacher can teach in 2018-19
  • Examines every subsection in 2017-18
  • If both the teacher and course exist in 2018-19 then the teacher will be added to the list for that course in 2018-19.

Assign all teachers without availability rules an availability rule for 2018-19:

  • For all teachers in 2018-19 that do not already have availability rules.
  • Create an availability rule for FY, all cycles, all periods.

Copy teacher Scheduling Parameters from 2017-18 into 2018-19:

  • Choose which fields to copy from the previous year.
    • Preferred Room
    • Max. Slots in a row for classes
    • Min. Slots for classes in a day
    • Max number of students in a class
    • Max number of students per day
    • Max. Slots for classes in a day
    • Does not require an available lunch period

Set default values for teachers in 2018-19 with no values set for:

  • Max number of students per day:

NEXT YEAR SCHEDULING>SETUP>TEACHERS>MODIFY TEACHER

  • Max number of sections: You can set the maximum number of sections for a course that a teacher can teach. In addition, if your school uses semesters, you can set a maximum number of sections for each semester under the "1" and "2" columns. 1 corresponds to Semester 1 and 2 corresponds to Semester 2
