The Scheduling>Curriculum>Tools screen has a few tools available for you to run, if needed.
- Mass check 'Can be requested in parents module': Set only for courses where Graded Course is checked Mass set Parent Requests
- Mass check 'Display in Parents as Gradebook' and 'Display in Parents: Grading and Schedule': Set only for courses where Graded Course is checked.
- Assign Course Length Tool:
> 2.5 Credits = Full Year
= 2.5 Credits = Semester
= 1.25 Credits = Quarter
Existing course length that follow above rules are overwritten.
If an existing course's credits do not match above rules then it is skipped
- Assign Course Length Tool (Variation 2): Copy course length from the first section of same course in 2016-17. Existing course length is overwritten.
- Create course availability rules: Creates a rule for the course to always be available. Does nothing to courses that already have rules. Only ACTIVE courses are processed.
- Create course room availability rules: Creates a room rule for the course to be able to use any room. Does nothing to courses that already have rules. Only ACTIVE courses are processed.
- Calculate number of periods per day based on last year's curriculum:
Looks at first section of same course in 2016-17
Copy in the max number of periods based on from and thru periods of first subsection
Copy number of cycles days from first subsection
If there exactly 2 sub sections and they meet on the same semester; the # of lab days is the # of days in subsection 2
If there exactly 3 sub sections (PE) and they are quarter courses. Looks through student schedules; and tries to find the matching health course.
Only ACTIVE courses are processed - Update seat counts for all course sections: Recalculates the seat count for all courses in |school code| for 201X-XX.
- Copy GPA Weight Code and GPA Weight to the new Alpha and Numeric Weight fields:
For each course in 2017-18
Where the Alpha/Numeric Weight Code and Weight is blank
Copy the weight and code into the new Alpha and Numeric fields
Weights of RANK and FLAGS are not copied to the Numeric Fields (Those codes are only for Alpha Grades) - Copy NCES Fields to Next Year:
For each course in 201X-XX
Where the Course Code and Description matches a course in Next Year Scheduling
Copy the NCES Course, Level, GradeSpan, Course Instruction Type, NJSMART Elementary Grading FG Skill, and Sequence into the matching Next Year Course
Then, for each section of the above course
If the Section Code matches a section in Next Year Scheduling
Copy the NCES Course, Level, GradeSpan, and Sequence into the matching Next Year Section - Adjust Active Student Schedule Start Dates for Course Section:

Make the Student's Start Date equal to
for Students who have a current Course Start Date of - Adjust Drop Dates on Student Schedules for Course Section:
This process will adjust the Drop Date of a Student to the School Start Date.
Courses dropped on the first day of School DO NOT appear in Gradebooks or in the Course Submission.
Adjust the Drop Date for Course Section to 09/06/20XX
for Students who have a current Course Drop Date of - Delete dropped student schedule records that have a drop date prior to the start of school: This process will delete dropped student schedule records that have a drop date prior to the start of school.
