Maintenance Mode

When Genesis is switched to maintenance mode, the following things will happen to any user that is not a member of the sysadmin role:

  1. Automatically logged out the next time a user clicks a link, button or any other activity that requests data from the Genesis server.
  2. The user will be redirected to a screen with a message that is configurable.
  3. Any user that tries to log on will also be automatically logged out and redirected to a screen that displays the message.

  1. Type in an appropriate message as to why Genesis will be in maintenance mode.
  2. Check the "Enable Maintenance Mode" check box.
  3. Click the SAVE button.

Disabling maintenance mode

To disable maintenance mode; log on as a user in the sysadmin role and navigate to the Setup>Security>Policy screen.

  1. Uncheck the "Enable Maintenance Mode" check box.
