Linking Calendars to Google
- Users will be able to link their personal Genesis Calendar to their personal Google Calendar. Any events added to this calendar will be sent to Google, this includes conferences (if enabled in the Google Calendar Setup) and personal events.
- Other calendars such as Sport or Registration calendars are linked by the administration. These live on the admin google account and users are granted access to them
- Linked Calendars will have this symbol next to them: , pressing it will show a popup that will allow you to sync any missing events from Google and pull them into Genesis.
- Linked events will have a Google Calendar icon next to them, the color of the icon indicates the following:
- indicates that the event is linked, and is in sync with Genesis
- indicates that the Google Event was recently sent down by Google and has not been viewed by the user. This can happen in the case of a conference being submitted on the parent portal, or an appointment submitted in Open Registration.
- indicates that the event was changed in Google and some of the fields no longer match between the two systems
- When this icon is clicked a pop up will display with the information in Google compared to the information in Genesis for an event.
- A link to the event within Google Calendar is also present
- If you have delete rights on that screen, you will also be able to remove that event from Google
