Creating Nurse Visits for Daily Medications

It is possible to automatically create a Nurse Visit record when dispensing a Medication from the Daily Medications screen.

Whether or not to automatically create a Nurse Visit is controlled by settings on the Nurse>Setup>Maintenance screen:

When these parameters are set to automatically create a Nurse Visit when a Medication is depensed from the Daily Medications screen, the nurse needs to do nothing special:

• A visit is automatically created with the Reason code, Treatment, Category, and Disposition specified here.
• Because the Visit has a "Disposition" automatically inserted, it is automatically closed.
• Visits created this way will appear on the Nurse Visits screen when either "All Visits" or "Closed" visits are searched for.
