Overview
The following are Example Reports that were created using the Genesis Report Writer.
You may Download any of the reports listed, Install them onto your Genesis, and Change/Edit as necessary.
PLEASE NOTE: These reports were created by customers or Genesis support, and may not do exactly what your district needs, so please read the descriptions carefully. It is also important that you run tests to ensure it's producing the information and results needed. Some editing may be required for the report to work as you need it to, and you can make these changes using the Report Writer. If you are unfamiliar with writing reports in Genesis, it is strongly recommended you watch a Report Writer training video.

Student Web Access Account Export - Download Report Exports a student's own email address, with information to both create a "student" web access account and attach the student to the account. Web Access Account Queries by Student - Download Report Find students with / without Guardian accounts linked to them, and/or Student accounts linked to them, or untyped accounts. Also find students with no accounts and identify "orphaned" ParentStudent linkage records that no longer connect to an existing web access (ParentUser) account record. Parent Scheduled Conference Signup Report - Download Report This report lists 'scheduled parent teacher conference slots' - those conference slots that have been tied to a Calendar Event - and shows which students are signed up for each slot. The Parent Module allows a "regular rider" to be opted out for 'today', meaning someone will pick them up; it also allows a "Permanent Pickup" student to be informed to ride the bus home today. Parent Form Answer Sheet - Download Report This report lets you select a particular form that you have parents answering through the portal. It will list the questions and their answers on one page per student. The page has the school, form name, student photo, and other demographics in the header. It will allow up to 30-35 questions on the page. Note: Under the setup of the form you are pulling to this report, you MUST have the "Report Text" filled in for each question that you want to pull to this report. Parent Form Status - Download Report This report is run for one Parent Form, and lists all students who have the Form published to their record. Will list students who have submitted Form, have not submitted, or all. Students with submitted forms will show date submitted on, and the parent portal user that submitted. Daily Form Totals by Date - Download Report This report allows you to see form submission totals for the district, by each school day. This report only runs for the district, and only picks up valid attendance dates for the district, and only days where a form was published. Attendance Letter Views in Parent Portal - Download Report Audit of which specific attendance letters were viewed on the parent portal. Use this report to check whether a parent has viewed an attendance letter or not. This data is tracked normally tracked on the Letters tab of the student's record. This report lists all letters generated for students from the Attendance > Letters screen. Conduct Letter Views in Parent Portal - Download Report Audit of which specific conduct letters were viewed on the parent portal.
