Athletics and the Parent Portal

--------------- New / Enhanced

* Parent Forms - Sports
- Added a new for schools on the Setup -> Schools -> Modify School screen called " Allow Sports from other schools to be selected in Parent Forms for students in this school". If checked, any students in that school will be allowed to select sports in other schools when filling out a parent form that asks for a sport to play.
- If this is not checked, the sport selection will still only allow the student to select a sport in their attending school.
* Athletic Physical Eligibility
- In the Parents Module Athletic screen, a physical will not show as expired as long as the physical was within one year of the start of the sport season. Prior to this, the screen would show the physical as expired based on today's date.

Overview

The Parent Portal now has an Athletics tab, which displays a student's Sports Participation and Sports Eligibility Status by season. A list of the missing criteria will be displayed so the parent is aware of what release forms or other requirements are needed for sports participation. Parents will also see their child's latest Physical Exam date.

Grant Access to Athletics in the Portal

To enable this for your portal users, navigate to the parent role via Parent Access>Setup>Roles, modify the role, and then check off "Athletic Eligibility." That will grant parent users access to that tab in the portal.

The Parent Athletics Screen

The parents' Athletics screen displays all eligibility criteria that is enabled from the school's Athletics module. To see a list of enabled requirements, refer to this screen: Athletics > Setup > Eligibility Setup

All seasons that a student has sport in will be shown along with their eligibility status:
