Inform911

Inform911 interface is a web service API that provides real-time communication between your Genesis server and Inform 911.

Inform911 makes two separate calls to your Genesis server; a Summary call, and an Location call.

Summary Call

When the Summary call is made, Genesis sends the following information:

Guardian Information including names, emails, and phone numbers for all guardians in the system.

Emergency Contact Information including names, emails, and phone numbers for all emergency contacts in the system.

Student Information including names, emails, and phone numbers.

Schedules for all your staff and students

Location Call

When the Location call is made Genesis sends the following information:

Real-Time Location Information for all staff and students.  Location is determined using the following data in Genesis.

Turnstile Event Check Ins, Class Attendance and Daily Attendance.

If a student is present in school, that students location, including Room Number and Staff Member that is currently with student, is returned.

If student is not present, Inform911 will be notified student may not be present in school with corresponding attendance transactions for student.

Setup

Inform911 interface is a web service API that does not require any setup on the Core → Scheduler task.  When you are ready to begin sending data to Inform911, Genesis will provide you with API keys that must be supplied Inform911.  These keys will allow Inform911 access to your Genesis server on demand.
