You have the ability to grant a "read-only" type of access to specific users for Gradebook.
This would be useful if there are users that need to review specific courses but should not have full access to a teacher's Gradebook etc.
How to Grant Read Only Access to a User
1. Go to Gradebook>School Setup>Permissions
2. Select the USER in the first dropdown
3. Search for and check off each course section that they should have read only access to:
4. Click "Save Permissions" to save the changes.
How Does the User Access the Read Only Gradebook
1. Make sure the user has the securable location of "gradebook.schoolsetup.gradebooks" in one of their roles. If the user does not, they won't have access to navigate to the tab itself. You can edit roles via Setup>Security>Roles.
2. The user can go to the Gradebook>School Setup>Gradebooks screen
3. The user can then select one of the courses in the "Select a Gradebook..." section and see a snapshot of that gradebook. They won't be able to edit anything.
