If you are looking to run a GPA for your students, these are the basic steps.

  1. Review the GPA codes listed via Grading>GPA/Rank>Setup to locate the GPA you need. For example, if it's the end of year, look for something like a CUM GPA.
  2. Navigate to Grading>GPA/Rank>GPA Calc.
  3. Select the GPA in the “GPA(s) to re-calculate” dropdown.
  4. Select the appropriate grade levels/students in the “Student Selection” area.
    • For example, if you are running your CUM GPA for 12th graders, make sure only 12th grade is selected.
  5. Click “Calculate” to run the GPA.
  6. After this has calculated, navigate to Grading>GPA/Rank>Ranking.
  7. Select the appropriate grade levels/students in the “Student Selection” area once again.
  8. Select the same GPA code in the “Rank(s) to run” dropdown.
  9. Click “Calculate” to run the ranking on that selected GPA code.
  10. After that is run, you likely need to generate a report of the students showing their GPAs and their rank.
  11. Navigate to Grading>Reports.
  12. Click into report 40500 - Class Rank / GPA Report for example.
    • NOTE: This report will only work correctly if you have run the ranking for the GPA code.
  13. Select the GPA code you just ran the GPA calc and GPA rank calc for in the “Specify GPA” on the report.
  14. Specify the student selection in the Grade Level, Class Of, Student List section as needed.
    • For example, if you are running your CUM GPA for 12th graders, select just 12th grade for this report.
  15. Click “Schedule Report.
  16. You can then review the data on the report as needed.
