How to Mass Create Assignments

Description

Marking Period

This field tells the Gradebook which marking period to create the assignments in. You can also create the assignments for all marking periods.

Category

This field tells the Gradebook which category to make the assignments. This will also default the Grade Type and Max Points fields to the categories defaults. See Categories for category default information.

Grade Type

This field tells the Gradebook what type of Grading will be used on the assignments. It will be automatically filled in with the Default Grading type of the category that is selected.

Max Points

This field tells the Gradebook what the Max Points of the assignments will be. It will be automatically filled in with the Default Max Points of the category that is selected.

Unit

This field tells the Gradebook what the Unit of the assignments will be. This field is optional.

Workgroup

This field tells the Gradebook what Workgroup the assignments should be associated with. This field is optional.

Due Dates

You have sevreal options to choose from:

• Every school day of specified Marking Period(s) - This is self explanatory.
• Specify day of week - This will allow you to choose a specific day of the week for the assignemnts top be created.
• Specify cycle day - If your school uses cycle days, then this option will appear. This is the same as the day of week option only with cycle days.
• Create X assignments with Blank Due Dates - This option will allow you to create X assignments, all without a due date.
• Remove existing assignments of this category - This option will remove any existing assignments of this catgeory. This will only apply to the selected marking period(s).
