Importing from Basic Skills

Quick Steps to Convert Basic Skills Scores

Importing Basic Skills test scores into the Assessments module can be done in just 3 simple steps:

1. Go to the Assessments>Setup>Basic Skills Conversion tab
2. Click the 'Import to Assessments - ' button next to the set of basic skills data to import.  
3. Review results on the assessments tab

The process in detail

The list of possible Basic Skills Tests to import is taken from the Setup>Districts>Master District Parameters>Basic Skills Tests screen.  

The the # of records column is the count of records in the BASIC_SKILLS_TESTING table that matches that criteria.

Click on the Import To Assessments button performs the following tasks:

1. Creates a new Assessment with the name of TEST_CODE.TEST_MONTH.YEAR.
2. Copies all of the data over from the BASIC_SKILLS_TESTING tab.
3. Marks the Basic Skills Test definition that it has been copied.

Reimporting data

If there is a need to recopy the data; perform these steps:

• Delete the Assessment in the Assessments>Setup>Assessments tab.

• Click on the 'Unlock to Reimport -  button in the Assessments>Setup>Basic Skills Conversion tab.
