The Student Data>Modify Student>Awards screen exists to provide a place to capture students' honors and awards and print those on the Transcript.
The principal difference between this screen and the students' Activities screen is that these are all pre-set and selected from a list, whereas on the Activities screen, the items are all free text.
The screen consists of a list of the student's honors and awards during their 'career' in the school district.
Adding an Honor or Award to the List
To add an honor, award, or activity to the list, scroll to the bottom of the list and locate the "Add Record" button.
- Select the school year. This will default to the current school year, but it always possible to record Activities for prior years.
- Set the Grade Level. This will default to the student's current grade level.
- Select the school where awarding the honor or where the activity took place. This will default to the student's current school.
- Select an item from the drop down. The list consists of all of your district's pre-defined honors, awards, or activities.
- Check the checkbox - or, really, leave it checked - if you want the new Activity to appear on the student's A45 form. Uncheck it to suppress the new activity from printing on the A45.
- Click the Add button.
Printing Items on the Transcript
Listed items will print on the student's A45 form if the checkbox for the item is checked. Check a checkbox if you want an item to appear on the student's A45 form. Uncheck it to suppress it from printing.
Updating Items
To update an item, edit the Text field, optionally check or uncheck the "show on Transcript" checkbox, and click the corresponding Save Records button.
Deleting Items
To delete an Item, click the corresponding Delete button.
