Does Genesis offer a Special Education Module?

Does the system have a comprehensive spec ed package for developing IEP plans?

Genesis does not include or offer an additional Special Education package. However, Genesis is capable of tracking important Special Ed and IEP data required for state reporting. The system also integrates seamlessly with a variety of 3rd party Special Education products such as Frontline, EasyIEP, and several others. This gives districts the freedom of choice in which special ed software to use, allowing its Special Ed or Child Study Team to continue using products their department has preference or experience in using.  Were Genesis to offer a special education module, it would be necessary to restrict districts to that tightly-integrated product.  We have chosen not to create a Special Education module, and to consequently convert districts to its use, in part because we do not have staff with sufficient special education knowledge to provide the necessary in-depth high quality support and we do not believe we can create that level of support in a timely fashion.
