Using Different Check-In Codes at Different Times of the Day

This capability gives you the ability to display different Attendance codes on the Check-In screen at different times of the day.

Codes can now optionally have start and end times:

Where the start ("Available starting at...") and end ("No longer available at...") times are blank, the codes work as they always have:  they are always available on the Check-In screen (as long as they are selected to be used in the school):

Where a time is specified in either the start time field, the end time field, or both, the code is available on the Check-In screen during only part of the day.

Interpretation

  • Both time fields are blank:  The code is available all day.  This is how the function has always worked.
  • The "No longer available at ..." field has a time in it and the "Available starting at..." field is blank:  This is the "end time" field.  The code is available from the start of the day (in essence, from midnight) until the time specified.  Atter that it is no longer displayed until the next day.
  • The "Available starting at..." field has a time in it and the "No longer available at ..." field is blank: This is the "start time" field.  The code is suppressed (not available) until the time specified in the  "Available starting at..." field.  It then remains available for the remainder of the day.
  • Both time fields have times in them:  The code is available on the Check-In screen from the time specified in the  "Available starting at..." field until the time specified in the "No longer available at ..." field.  Before and after those times the code is suppressed.
