Streamlined Student Check-In

"Streamlined check-in" means:

- If only 1 student matches the search (e.g. with an ID card swipe in) AND

- If there is only 1 active Attendance code for check-In, THEN

- The student is checked in with the single available code without having to "pick the code" after swiping in, or typing their name.


Streamlined check-in means "check in with a single click".


Requirements for 1-Click Student Check-In


  1. Have only a single active Attendance code configured for check-in at the time the student is checking in.   See Note below.
  2. Best practice:  student has an ID card and they can swipe in.  Otherwise student has to type their ID # (or their Lunch pin, depending on how Attendance Check-In is configured).


If those two conditions are met, when the student either swipes in or clicks the "Search" button, they will be immediately checked-in and given the single active Attendance code:

Limitations

If a student enters their name, a list of students with matching names may be displayed.  If this happens, the students own name must be clicked to check them in.  If only a single student matches the search criteria, check-in will be done immediately without any choice of students necessary.


Note

Attendance codes used for Check-In can now be configured to be active for only certain times of the day.   Information about timed Attendance codes can be found here.
