The Class Attendance>Mass Update Attendance screen will allow you to post class attendance for students based on the parameters of this screen.
Daily Attendance will not be affected by this routine.
This screen does not allow you to post an attendance code that requires a time.
After you run this process, a report will appear with the results of the attendance update.
If a code of 'Default Present Code' is chosen, then the student's existing class attendance will be removed, making them present for the class.

Tips
If a school uses print periods (and no rotation periods), the slots are shown on the screen. The reason for this is if a student is missing slot 1 then any course that meets that day with the selected slot will be given the attendance code. For example: if you have a period 1 (slot 1) and a period 1-2 (slot 1 and 2), classes that meet during both periods will be given the attendance code because slot 1 affects both courses. If you were to select slot 2, then attendance for courses that meet during period 1-2 (and any other course with a period that has slot 2) would be updated. Period 1 would not be affected.
The class attendance screen is showing the user the section attendance for the day. Section attendance shows you what the student is considered for the entire class for the day. This is used because section attendance is what is used for things like loss of credit and the class attendance totals etc.
