Athletics Team Dashboard

Overview

We added in a series of screens for coaches/administrators of teams under Athletics>Team Dashboard.

These screens show team information for coaches.

If you have not tied coaches to sports, they are added to teams via Athletics>Rosters>Manage Coaches.

Security for the Screens

In order for a user to see these screens, they need the securable locations for the athletics.coaches screens.

You can adjust roles as needed via Setup>Security>Roles.

The user also must have a staff member who is coaching a sport setup to represent them.

You can make this adjustment for logon IDs as needed via Setup>Security>Users.

The Activity Administrator Screen

This screen will show the coach all students signed up for a specific sport, regardless of the level. The coach will be able to filter the students by grade or level and will be able to change the following fields from this screen: Level (Varsity, Freshman, etc), Participated, Membership and Number. The purpose of this screen is to allow a coach to assign students to specific teams within the sport (Varsity, Freshman, etc).

In order for a coach to have access to this, they will need the athletics.coaches.administrator securable location.

You will also be able to limit which type of coach has access to this screen. On the Athletics>Setup>Sports screen, there is a section called Dashboard Administrators for <School Name>. Here you can select the ‘types’ of coaches that should have access to the Activity Administrator screen (ex: Head Coach, Assistant or Administrator) and the Level for that coach. For instance, you can set this so that only the Varsity Head Coach has access to update the roster.

This requires the staff member using the screen to be flagged as one of these enabled 'types' via Athletics > Rosters > Manage Coaches screen.

In addition, the school may check off Allow sysadmin access to all dashboards on the Athletics > Rosters > Manage Coaches screen, which allows any user with the sysadmin role to automatically gain access to ALL sports via the Athletics > Team Dashboard > Activity Administrator screen. 

Available Screens

The tabs available:

• Athletics>Team Dashboard>Dashboard screen - Shows the roster, attendance of students for the day and the medical status of the students.
  
• Athletics>Team Dashboard>Team Roster - 
  
• Athletics>Team Dashboard>Contacts - This shows all students on the roster along with the contact information for the students. Users can mass email from this team.
  
• Athletics>Team Dashboard>Eligibility - Shows the eligibility of all the students on the team.
  
• Athletics>Team Dashboard>Watch List - Shows the grades for students on the team roster based on a set filter.
  
• Athletics>Team Dashboard>Calendar -
  
• Athletics>Team Dashboard>Attendance -
  
• Athletics>Team Dashboard>Activity Administrator -
