Lesson Planner and Documents

Overview

Lesson Planner Documents allow users to attach various document types to their lesson plans.

 

You first must have both Document Management and Lesson Planner modules active in your system to use this feature.

If you do not have one or both of these modules active please submit a help desk support ticket requesting more info about how to obtain access to them. There may be fees involved.

Setting Up Document Management Integration for Lesson Planner

  1. Create new Document Type via: Document Management>Setup>Document Types
  2. Set the new Document Type to be used for Lesson Planner
  3. Grant security access to the Lesson Planner User roles at the bottom of Documents>Setup>Modify Document Type
  4. Set the new Document Type as the Default Document Type in the Lesson Planner via: Lesson Planner->Setup->Document Management Integration

Adding Documents to Lesson Plans

Open the lesson plan either through the calendar screen or the lesson plan screen

Lesson Planner>Calendar

  • Click the 'Edit - ' button to open the lesson plan from the calendar screen

Lesson Planner>Lesson Books>Lesson Plans

  • Click the 'Modify -  button to open the lesson plan from the lesson plan screen

Once in the edit/modify lesson plan screen scroll down to the bottom until you reach the Documents section

 

Click the 'Choose file - ' button and search your local machine for the file that you would like to add to this lesson plan

  • Click the 'Upload File - ' button to attach the file to the lesson plan as a document

Removing Documents from Lesson Plans

Open the lesson plan either through the calendar screen or the lesson plan screen

Lesson Planner>Calendar

  • Click the 'Edit - ' button to open the lesson plan from the calendar screen

Lesson Planner>Lesson Books>Lesson Plans

  • Click the 'Modify - button to open the lesson plan from the lesson plan screen

 

Once in the edit/modify lesson plan screen scroll down to the bottom until you reach the Documents section

  • Click the 'Red X - button to the right of the document that you would like to remove and a pop up box will appear

  • Click the 'OK' button and the document will be removed
