Lesson Planner Calendar
The Calendar is your Lesson Planner "Home" screen that allows you to view and access many different functions of the Lesson Planner.
Some of which include creating, editing, moving, viewing, and submitting lessons plans for review .

The Navigation Buttons, Tools, and Options
The Calendar Course Block
On the left side of the Calendar you have your 'Course Block' which describes your courses and gives you information about each Lesson Book.
Each Lesson Book Course Block has various controls/links/buttons in them:
- Clicking this copy icon will copy all Lesson Plans from that book for the week to the clipboard. You can then paste these into another one of you Lesson Books
- Hide - Clicking this hide link will remove the Lesson Book from being viewed on the Calendar screen. This can be undone at anytime via the Lesson Planner->Lesson Books->List Books screen
- Print - Clicking this print link will give you a PDF of the week's worth of lessons for this Lesson Book
- Gradebook - Clicking this Gradebook link will take you to the linked Gradebook for the Lesson Book, if there is a Gradebook linked
- Post - Clicking the post button will submit all the Lesson Plans in this Lesson Book for review for the selected week. Once submitted this button changes to say 'Submitted'
The Week Navigator
The Week Navigator appears in the 'Monday' column header and can be used to change the week that your Calendar is displaying
- You can select week or use the "Previous"/"Next" arrows to change the date
- The Calendar displays one week of lessons at a time
Day Cells
Each day has it's own 'cell' and each cell can contain Unit and Lesson Plan links. Each starts out empty
Day Cell Buttons
When a Day cell is blank there will be three controls along the bottom that are used to fill the cell with a Lesson Plan:
- Create – Creates a new Lesson Plan
- Search – Will open up the a search window that lets you browse for existing Lesson Plans. You can copy and view the Lesson Plans that you find in the search window
- Paste – Pastes a Lesson Plan copied elsewhere into this cell
Once there is a Lesson Plan in the Day Cell, the buttons along the bottom change slightly
- Add – Adds a new plan to the day.
- Paste – Pastes a Lesson Plan copied elsewhere into this cell
- Print – Brings up a PDF of the day's plans
- Search – Will open up the a search window that lets you browse for existing Lesson Plans. You can copy and view the Lesson Plans that you find in the search window
Lesson Plan Buttons
Each Lesson Plan has its own set of function buttons that only affect that one lesson plan
- Edit – Brings up the Modify Lesson Plan Parameters screen for this lesson
- Move – Brings up the Move Lesson Plan pop up window that will give you options on how you want to move your Lesson Plan to another day
- Del – Deletes this Lesson Plan from the day
- Copy – Copies the Lesson Plan to the Clipboard
Each Lesson Plan has a set of icons that will show up based on what exists in the Lesson Plan
- This Lesson Plan is shared with the Public Library of Lesson Plans in your school
- There are Gradebook assignments linked to this Lesson Plan. Click to bring up a screen listing the Assignments
- There are Standards attached to this Lesson Plan
- There are documents attached to this Lesson Plan
- This Lesson Plan is linked to another Lesson Plan in one of your other Lesson Books. When you edit one linked Lesson Plan it makes the changes to the other linked Lesson Plans
- These allow you to quickly move your Lesson Plans up and down so you can reorder them. They only appear when you have multiple Lesson Plans in the same Day Cell
Display Options
The Number of Lesson Books Your Calendar Displays
The number of courses visible on the Calendar at one time is controlled by the 'How many courses would you like to display on your calendar' parameter on the Lesson Planner->Setup->Preferences screen
If you have enough lesson books to not fit on one calendar page you will have multiple calendar pages. You can navigate through these pages with the control found on the top left corner of your calendar
Calendar Views
By Date
You can change the view from an entire week to one day by clicking on the Date at the top of your Lesson Plans
Clicking the date expands the clicked date into a full screen view
- You can navigate through the days by using the 'Next' and 'Previous' day buttons
- Click on the Date again to go back to the previous view
By Lesson Book
You can change the view from multiple Lesson Books to one by clicking on the Name of your Lesson Book in the Course Block
Clicking the Name expands the one Lesson Book into a full screen view
- You can navigate through your other books by using the 'Next' and 'Previous' buttons in the Course Block
- Click on the Name of the Lesson Book again to go back to the previous view
The Combined View
You can also combine both views to focus on one Lesson Book and on one Date
You can do so by clicking on both the Lesson Book name and a Date, in any order
To return to the previous view you will have to click on the Lesson Book name and Date again
