Open Registration has been overhauled to improve ease of use and modernize for use on various devices. Besides the modernization, there are two additional changes you should be aware of.
1. The Open Registration process now begins with requiring the parent/user to enter an email address.
2. The Home Language Survey is now always required.
Below find a tour of the updated Open Registration screens.
Getting Started:
New Old
When clicking in to the new Open Registration users will be met with one of the following screens:
With Login Kiosk Mode
By default, all Open Reg Packages will require an account in order to continue. To allow users to not create an account, there is a new option in Setup called "Kiosk Mode" that will allow them to continue with just an email address being entered.
Once inside of Open Registration they will be met with this screen, the red box on the left display where the navigation now resides, as they complete registration each section will be marked to display whether or not it has been completed. The red box in the top right shows where the google translate selection is.
Student Registration:
When creating a student, it will now redirect the user to a new screen where all the questions are organized by section. Additionally the screen will now work better on different sized screens:
Desktop Mobile
Contact Information:
When creating contacts, users will be able to see which contacts are currently completed at a glance
Like student information, missing fields here will be bolded in red when editing
Home Language Survey:
Beginning End Result
Parents will now be able to see all previous answers, and adjust them without having to reset the survey. Home language Survey is now required on all registrations.
