Getting Started in Gradebook

Modified on Thu, Jun 4 at 9:30 AM

When teachers first log in to the Gradebook, Genesis will automatically generate all of their Gradebooks based on their Master Class Schedule in the school. Logging in for the first time essentially initialized their Gradebooks. But there is a tool to initialize ALL Gradebooks at once via Gradebook>School>Setup>Maintenance.

When Genesis creates the Gradebooks, the Schedule Analyzer will also update the Course Roster with every student who is taking the teacher's course.

Just by clicking into the Gradebook, they will already have their entire schedule and roster.

There is one last feature to make your life easier. Your rosters do not have to be updated by teachers at all.

As a student drops a course, the Gradebook will automatically be updated with the drop.

This will save you the time and energy of updating your own rosters.

We have Gradebook Training Videos posted here, including a "Gradebook Start of School Tasks & Administration" webinar!
